Highland Club Whisky - A tribute to the 561st anniversary of the founding of the St. Andrews Golf Club. Highland Club originates from the Scottish region. Highland club single malt whisky is aged in bourbon barrels and finished in rum casks, offering a unique flavor and the elegance characteristic of single malt whiskies.
Not every Scotch whisky producer has the ability to finish their whisky in rum casks. The rum casks travel across the Atlantic Ocean to arrive in Scotland, and this unique resource makes the taste of this whisky stand out. The whisky aged in bourbon barrels is transferred to Caribbean rum casks until it is fully matured, a process that is extremely complex. After six months at least of aging in the rum casks, the whisky's body becomes richer and rounder. Over time, it gradually develops a flavor as smooth and elegant as toffee, with a rich and creamy milkiness. During the long years of maturation, it slowly reveals its infinite charm.
